Frequently Asked Questions

Initial results will be provided approximately ten days following sampling completion. You will be notified upon completion but if you require any information prior to completion please contact us.

Vibracore sampling is a technology for collecting core samples of underwater sediments and wetland soils. The vibrating mechanism of a vibracore operates on hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical or electrical power from an external source. A core tube is attached to the vibracore and is driven into sediment with the use of gravity, enhanced by vibration. When the sampling depth is attained, the vibracore is turned off, and the tube is withdrawn with the aid of a winch.
